Clue 1:

This clue sets up that Bluzz Cutler has a business that is literally “Get Rich Quick Scheme” and also to indicate that all the following hints pertain to Blizz.

Clue 1, Hint 1:

Blizz Cutler's

Blizzy Boy says: All my luv to Hilly and Thornman on their special day. great times forever !!! Can't wait for 3/29 to get here  March 17, 2012 at 1:33 am

Blizzy Boy says: Finally got that femme fatale off my arse...glad to be free and clear as planned.  Boo-ya !!!  February 22, 2011 at 4:59 am

This Hint seems to indicate that Blizz Cutler was okay with the marriage of Hillary to his friend Hawthorn Hatchet since he posts that he is wishing them well.

Clue 1, Hint 2:

If involved in a scheme, murder is something this suspect would never dream.

This Hint goes back to the Clue. Blizz is involved in the Get Rich Quick Scheme, so murder is not something he would dream. The Clue and the Hints add up to eliminating Blizz Culter as the suspect.

Clue 2:

7.75 $30.00

$14.95 ea $29.90
TOTAL    $59.90
CSH  $59.90

Clue 2 is a gas receipt. It contains a purchase for Ivory Wave, which is an ingredient used with bath salts/synthetic drugs.

Clue 2, Hint 1:

Comprehensive Drug Information on Synthetic Cathinones – MDPV, Mephedrone & Methylone

The term “synthetic drugs” are commercially available products that have as part of the composition a legal stimulant called 3, 4-Methylenedioxypyrovalerone, or MDPV. These synthetic stimulants are in a class of drug known as synthetic cathinones.

Synthetic cathinones are related to the parent compound cathinone (found naturally in the plant Khat, which has cathinone producing a mild simulative effect). Since the mid-2000’s, unregulated ring-substituted cathinone derivatives have appeared in the European and America recreational drugs market. The most commonly available synthetic cathinones sold on the recreational market appear to be 3, 4-Methylenedioxypyrovalerone (MDPV). Cathinone derivaties are claimed to have effects similar to those of cocaine, amphetamine or MDMA (ecstasy), in that it is a powerful stimulant that functions as a dopamine-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (NDRI).

It has stimulatory effects on the central nervous system and cardiovascular system. Physical symptoms include: rapid heartbeat, increase in blood pressure, vasoconstriction, sweating. Mental symptoms include: euphoria, increases in alertness & awareness, increased wakefulness and arousal, anxiety, agitation, perception of diminished requirement for food and sleep, and intense desire to re-dose.  High doses have been observed to cause intense, prolonged panic attacks in stimulant-intolerant users, and there are anecdotal reports of psychosis from sleep withdrawal and addition at higher doses or more frequent dosing intervals. There have been medical reports that ER patients are reporting chest pains, increased blood pressure, increased heart rate, agitation, hallucinations, extreme paranoia and delusions, and suicidal thoughts.

This Hint contains information about the drug sold as “bath salts.” It is important to note the active ingredient is synthetic cathinones when the Toxology Report is received.

Clue 2, Hint 3:

SW 31 Avenue • Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33312

Preliminary Autopsy:

NAME:  Hillary Charlotte Smith
SEX:  Female
MUNICIPALITY: Fort Lauderdale

CASE#:  DW-65002034-022
DATE:  March 29, 2012
RACE:  Caucasian

At approximately 8:20 am on 03/29/12, the deceased was discovered behind a pullout couch in Room 665 in the Riverside Hotel, located at 620 East Las Olas Boulevard.

Gross examination of the body and subsequent X-rays demonstrate signs of cardiac dysrhythmia.  Continued examination of the corpse identified irregularities to the central nervous system, increased blood pressure, sweating and vasoconstriction.

There is dried blood coming from both nostrils.  Dried blood particles were also located in the left ear and identified to be that of Ms. Smith.  On the right side of the nasal cavity appeared off-white colored granular particles.

It appears that the nasal septum in the nose developed a small hole and a layer of skin had deteriorated, perhaps resulting for frequent cocaine or heroin inhalation.  However, synthetic cathinones were also found during routine chemical compound analysis.

Personal effects on the body include $300 cash, Taj Gupta's business card and FL driver’s license belonging to the deceased; a credit card receipt from Zola Kellers, and a guest list for the upcoming wedding.

Further analysis indicates that death occurred at same location.  Estimated time of death is 0500 on 03/29/12.
I.M.  Stiff, M.D.
Asst. Chief Medical Examiner

This Hint is the Preliminary Autopsy.  Note it indicates that Hillary Smith had synthetic cathinones in her system. This is a major hint that Taj Gupta might be the culprit.

Clue 3:

REPORTING OFFICER'S NARRATIVE (of the facts surrounding the offense)
At 8:14 a.m., Detectives Lovelylass and Duhman arrived at 620 East Las Olas Boulevard to investigate an unresponsive body that of a Caucasian female in Room 614.  Environmental conditions at scene upon arrival are as follows: Weather: Clear; Ambient Exterior Temperature: 78º F; Ambient Interior Temperature: 68º F.
Once inside the hotel room, CSI conducted a room-by-room search. In the bedroom they discovered the apparently lifeless body of an adult female approximately 26 years of age. Visual observation of the body and a brief tactile check of the carotid pulse supported the assessment that the adult female was deceased.  Lovelylass contacted Dispatch to request that a Coroner's Inspector be dispatched to the location.  CSI continued the search of the remainder of the room and found the following items:

The mail point in Clue 3 is the Coach patent leather purse with white powder and fingerprints. Hold on to this info for later.

Clue 3, Hint 1:

Kayla Swanson's

Kunning Kayla says: And I'm bringing the white rocks !!!  YYYYYeah Baby !!!! This partee's gonna be awesome!  March 28, 2012 at 11:33 pm

This hint indicates that Clue 3 and all the hints below to Kayla Swanson. This hint could point to her as the killer as she is brining drugs to the party… but they are rocks. Hmmm?

Clue 3, Hint 2:

Fort Lauderdale Police Department
Crime Scene Investigation Unit
1300 West Broward Boulevard, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33312

CSI Toxicology Report:

NAME:  Kayla Swanson
SEX:  Female
INVESTIGATION: Illegal drug possession

CASE#:  KQ-20100415
DATE:  March 29, 2012
RACE:  Caucasian

Cocaine Metabolite
Eogonine Methyl Ester

Interpretation of Blood Concentrations: The presence of a white powdery substance which field tested positive for cocaine inside the Coach crossbody purse cannot be associated with a degree of impairment or a specific effect for a given individual without additional information. This is due to many factors, including individual levels of tolerance to the drug and artifactual changes in cocaine concentrations on storage. There is a large overlap between therapeutic, toxic and lethal cocaine concentrations and adverse reactions have been reported after prolonged use even with no measurable parent drug in the blood.

Following intranasal administration, peak plasma concentrations of cocaine averaged 0.22 mg/L at 30 minutes, while benzoylecgonine concentrations averaged 0.61 mg/L at 3 hours. There was also a high level of sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) mixed in with the cocaine, which is common for street drug dealers to dilute the product. In addition to bicarbonate, the cocaine found in Ms. Swanson’s purse was also laced with talc (magnesium silicate), chalk and cornstarch.  While these byproducts may cause illness they have not been confirmed to cause overdose or death.

This Hint indicates Toxicology report on the coke found in her satchel reveals ingredients used in cutting cocaine, but none of them are deadly (no cathinones are detected)

Clue 4:

His room number is 421 – two floors down

This Clue points to Hawthorne Hatchett as in the story, he was “two floors down” from Hillary’s room.

Clue 4, Hint 1:

Add it up.

If you’re real good, you will have added the room number 4+2+1= 7

Clue 4, Hint 2:

So innocent, this suspect should go to heaven If it all adds up to the lucky number 7.

The combination Clue and Hints eliminate Hawthorne.

 Clue 5:

Clue 5.pdf

Clue 5 is a ticket to the EriQ Stixx concert. The story indicates that Betti Flowers was attending this concert, so this tells us that the corresponding hints are for Betti.

Clue 5, Hint 1:

@Flowa Powa

March 29, 2012 @ 4:40am
Jus rollin from Pdise with EriQ for bkfst.
Oh what a nite...Havoc Heaven !!!!

This Hint gives a timeline of where Betti is at 4:40 a.m. the day Hilary died.

Clue 5, Hint 2:

The Floridian Diner

Hint 2 is more evidence of where Betti was while Hillary was determined to have died.

Clue 5, Hint 3:

Yes I am full of fury but try getting “guilty” out of the jury.

This Hint totally eliminates Betti Flowers. By now, we know that Hawthorne, Blizz, and Betti did not do it. That just leaves Taj, Kayla and Charterjee as possible killers.

Clue 6:

State of Florida
General Probation Report

Section 2 - Weekly Report

The Court as ordered six months of probation for the defendant requiring that said defendant maintain:

Defendant doing well. All UA tests clean. Active in church. Seeking permanent employment. Definitely on the right path.

Clue 6 is a report by someone’s probation officer saying that this person is on the straight and narrow.

Clue 6, Hint 1:

Receipt from the party reveals many things

Let’s look at Hint 2 first to find some meaning ...

Clue 6, Hint 2:

Capital Two 15-day e-statement
March 15 – 29, 2012

Transaction Description

Beer Barn and Booze
Entertainment -Psychic Charterjee and Aladdin
Entertainment - Psychic Charterjee and Aladdin
Entertainment - Psychic Charterjee and Aladdin

Amount Charged

So, Hint 2, what is revealed in the receipt? Note that the credit card has it charged 3 times. So, Charterjee is not so much on the straight and narrow that she isn’t above overcharging for the party. Also, Charterjee’s stage name is Psychic Charterjee.

Clue 6, Hint 3:

I’m politically correct (PC), so I can’t do it.

Although Charterjee is willing to cheat her clients, Psychic Charterjee is PC… so, eliminate her too.

So, all we have left is possibly Kayla and Taj…

Audio Clue 7:

The audio clue was Steppenwolf’s Magic Carpet Ride

I like to dream, yes, yes
Right between the sound machine
On a cloud of sound I drift in the night
Any place it goes is right
Goes far, flies near
To the stars away from here

Well, you don't know what
We can find
Why don't you come with me little girl
On a magic carpet ride

This definitively points to Taj as the murderer and since he was in possession of bath salts, bath salts was the cause of death.
